This policy explains how Halehold (“Halehold”, “we”, “us”) treats information in connection with this website and any related tools or services (together, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, or by submitting any information to us, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

SMS and text messaging

Halehold operates a text messaging program that sends operational messages to individuals who have provided their mobile number and agreed to receive them: notifications, reminders, alerts, scheduling and status updates, and replies to messages those recipients send us. Numbers reach us either through the sign-up form at halehold.com/sms or from the person directly.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for any purpose. Mobile numbers and consent records are disclosed only to the subcontractors that carry the messages for us, meaning our messaging provider and the mobile carriers, and only so that those messages can be delivered. This paragraph controls over anything else in this policy.

For this program we collect the mobile number, the name given with it, the record of the recipient’s consent (its date and time and the exact wording agreed to), the content of the messages exchanged, and delivery and response data. We use them only to send and support the messages described above, to honour opt-out requests, and to meet our legal and carrier obligations. We do not use them to build advertising profiles and we do not disclose them for anyone else’s marketing.

Recipients may stop the messages at any time by replying STOP, and can reply HELP or use the contact address below for assistance. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. The full messaging terms are in our terms of service.

We may collect any information you provide and any information generated by your use of the Services, including but not limited to:

How we use information

We may use information for any lawful business purpose, including to operate, maintain, secure, analyse, personalise, and improve the Services; to develop new products and services; to communicate with you; to enforce our terms; to comply with law; and for any other purpose disclosed at the time of collection or to which you consent.

Disclosure of information

We may disclose information to service providers, contractors, professional advisers, affiliates, and other partners who work with us; to any party in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets; and where we believe disclosure is required or permitted by law, or is necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

Information you choose to make public through the Services may be visible to other users and to the public, and may be copied, indexed, or retained by third parties outside our control. Do not submit anything to us that you would not want disclosed.

This section does not apply to mobile information. Mobile numbers and text messaging consent are excluded from every kind of sharing described above, including sharing with affiliates and partners and sharing in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets. Aggregated and de-identified information

We may create aggregated, de-identified, or anonymised information from data we hold, and may use and disclose that information for any purpose without restriction. This excludes mobile numbers and text messaging consent, which are never disclosed on any basis except to deliver the messages themselves.

Retention

We may retain information for as long as we consider necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements, including in backups and archives.

Third-party services and links

The Services may link to or rely on third-party sites and services we do not control. Their handling of information is governed by their own policies, and we accept no responsibility for them.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We do not warrant the security of any information, and you provide it at your own risk.

Children

The Services are not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Your choices

You may be able to limit cookies through your browser settings, and you may contact us with requests regarding your information. Where required by applicable law, we will honour rights you may have to access, correct, or delete information.

International use

The Services are operated from the United States, and information may be processed and stored there or in any other country where we or our providers operate.

Connected accounts

Where a user chooses to connect a third-party account or platform, we access only what that platform’s consent flow authorizes, and such access can be revoked at any time through the platform’s own settings. Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Changes to this policy

We may change this policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a revised date, and continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance.
